How Time Flies!

July18th marks the anniversary of Josh and I's first date, AND we've now been married for 6 months. Holy cannoli has this year flown by! So, in honor of these events here are a few—long overdue—pictures from our wedding!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

We had two separate cakes. One was a cheese cake, and we had different topping people could add. The second was a to die for chocolate cake. So we needed two toppers, and this set just worked for us!
With both of my parents. Absolutely no resemblance, right? ;)
Our first time being announced as a Mr. & Mrs.!
It was a small wedding, I think we had a total of 60 people including the wedding party!
It was held in the upper floor of a local brewery/restaurant.
I barely ate, and danced a lot. It was so much fun to see everyone laughing, drinking, and dancing.
It is a day I will remember for a long time to come!

    1. Thank you Raychel :) Yeah we did, but when you know, you know! And...I guess it runs in the family. My parents got engaged within 4 weeks of knowing each other, and then were married 2 weeks later! AND they have one of the best marriages I've ever seen.

    2. My grandparents got married within 11 days of meeting on the 11th of November. It was their third date. They actually ran away to get married with fake ids! My grandma was 16. They were married for 52 years until my grandpa's death. I honestly don't get why people marry so late in life and have sometimes 10+ years long of relationships, like why don't you just get married if you're not committed?

  5. The problem is that we live in a society that tells everyone that relationships are all about being happy. And if you aren't happy, move on. That is not what marriage is. Marriage is a commitment, as is love. Are we happy 99.9% of the time? Yes. Do we have discussions, and disagreements? Of course, it's bound to happen. We're two separate people, with different upbringings, and different ways of thinking. People just don't want to compromise because we live in a "Me" centered generation. (Can you tell I have some issues with our culture when it comes to relationships? lol)
That's really impressive of your grandparents!! Something to aspire to! :)
